Josy Issac is an Indian/German actor of screen and stage who is a former business executive and first came onto the scene
in Asia in 2014 with the Japanese Blockbuster “Joker Game”, playing alongside Kazuya Kamenashi and Kyoko Fukada.
From there he worked successfully in South East Asian cinema with “Ah Boys to Frogmen”(2015) as a villain and as
a ruthless police officer in “Selfie” (2015), which he then also played in “Apprentice” (2016). Latter film
was a Cannes selection that same year.
His caring and welcoming side was shown in the Indonesian drama “Renting Kisah” (2020) where he played the
Restaurant Manager Josh.

Furthermore Josy had roles in TV shows such as “Koji Cooks” as Manager and “There was a time in Singapore”
where he played a 70´s musician fighting for free expression.
Another significant project of his was as clean cut lawyer in the drama show “Tanglin”, which until today
is one of the most successful shows in the SEA region.

During his time in South East Asia he worked in several local advertisements for charity projects, F&B and IT.
For charity projects Josy stood frequently in front of the camera for films and documentaries and as part
of the Singapore Fashion Runway Josy was as well a model and realised own designs.

On stage he was part of the Singapore Stage Club until 2017 and in 2021 together with a group of fellow artists
he brought an independent magic illusion theatre play to various theatres around Germany.
As of now Josy is working on realising his own projects with a group of partners while he just finished shooting
a system dropout in an upcoming independent German film circling around the topic abortion.
